Several Falcons Playing Summer Baseball

USAF ACADEMY, Colo. - Ten members of the Air Force baseball team will be summer playing baseball. The Falcons are spread across six teams and four leagues.
After sending four players to play summer ball in 2010, the Falcons have more than doubled that total in 2011. One senior, seven juniors and two sophomores will get invaluable summer competition with their various teams.
Blair Roberts will be the lone senior to play this summer. Roberts will play for the Alexandria Beetles in the Northwoods League for the second-straight summer.
Seven juniors will see action this summer. Alex Bast and Ben Bertelson will be teammates for the Marysville Gold Sox, playing in The Horizon Air Summer Series. Kincaid Koehler, Matthew Roberts and Matt Thorne will play for the Sacramento Legends in the Sacramento Premier Baseball League. Garrett Custons and Matt Zettler will be teammates on the US9 Armed Forces Baseball team.
Sophomore Kyle Van Alstine will play for the Eau Claire Express of the Northwoods League. Sophomore Cameron White will play for the TCL Copperheads of the Texas Collegiate League.
