Air Force Falls to Wyoming on the Road

LARAMIE, Wyo. - Junior Alicia Leipprandt (Ubly, Mich.) scored 11 points to lead the Air Force women's basketball team in a 98-36 loss to Wyoming Wednesday evening in Arena Auditorium.
The Cowgirls, who shot nearly 64 percent for the game, closed out the first period on a 17-0 run to take a 51-18 advantage at the break. While the Falcons scored the first point of the second stanza with a free throw from Leipprandt, Wyoming went on a 28-0 run to put the game out of reach.
The Falcons shot just 23.2 percent for the game and were outrebounded, 41-27. Meanwhile, the Cowgirls scored from inside and outside, knocking down 11 three-pointers in the game and scoring 50 points in the paint.
The Falcons return to action on Saturday, Jan. 21, when they host San Diego State in a 12:00 p.m. contest.
