
Track and Field Announces 2014-15 Schedule

USAF ACADEMY, Colo. - The Air Force track and field team's schedule for the upcoming season was announced this afternoon by head coach Ralph Lindeman. The Falcons will host four indoor competitions at the Cadet Field House and one outdoor meet at the Cadet Track and Field Complex.

Air Force opens the season in December with the annual Air Force Holiday Open (Dec. 12) and continues its home schedule in the new year with the Air Force Collegiate Open (Jan. 9), the Air Force Invitational (Jan. 22-24) and the Air Force Team Challenge (Feb. 6). The Falcons will also host the Air Force Twilight Open to conclude the regular outdoor season on May 8.
During the indoor season, the Falcons will travel to Nebraska's Holiday Inn Invitational (Jan. 16-17) and the New Mexico Collegiate Invitational (Jan. 31), while members of the team will compete at Arkansas' Tyson Invitational (Feb. 13-14), Washington's Husky Classic (Feb. 13-14) and Wyoming's Robert Shine Invitational (Feb. 20).
The championship portion of the indoor season begins with the 2015 Mountain West Indoor Track and Field Championships on Feb. 26-28 in Albuquerque, N.M., and concludes with the NCAA Indoor Championships in Fayetteville, Ark., on March 13-14.
Air Force opens the outdoor season at Colorado's Jerry Classic on March 20-21, before heading to California for a pair of meets (Aztec Invitational on March 27-28, Stanford Invitational on April 3-4). The Falcons will face off with New Mexico, UTEP and Wyoming in Albuquerque on April 10, before returning to California for the California Invitational Multi-Events Meet (April 15-16), the Mt. SAC Relays (April 17-18) and the Beach Invitational (April 18).
The Falcons will split for competitions at the prestigious Drake Relays (Apr. 23-25) and Colorado State's Jack Christiansen Invitational (April 24-25), before concluding the regular season at Kansas' Rock Chalk Classic (May 2) and their own home invitational (May 8).
The outdoor championship season gets underway May 13-16 at the Mountain West Outdoor Track and Field Championships in San Diego, while the NCAA Outdoor Championships begin with the preliminary rounds in Austin, Texas, on May 28-30 and conclude with the finals in Eugene, Ore., on June 10-13.
