
Falcons travel to New Mexico for dual meet

The Air Force women's swimming and diving teams travel to Albuquerque, N.M. for a dual meet with the New Mexico Lobos, Saturday, Oct. 18, at noon.
Air Force is coming off of a third-place finish at the Bulldog Invitational, Oct. 10-11, in Fresno, Calif.
Senior Kim Davis was named the Air Force athlete of the week, Oct. 13, as she won three individual events, the 200-yard breaststroke (2:20.68), the 200-yard IM (2:03.07) and the 400-yard IM (4:26.05), at the invitational. Davis also swam on the 800-yard relay team that placed first, the 200-yard medley team that placed second and the 200-yard free relay team that was third.
Sophomore Genevieve Miller won two events and had a second-place finish as well last week. She won the 1650 freestyle (17:02.28) and the 500 freestyle (4:56.69) and was second in the 200 freestyle (1:54.14).
The Falcons will host three straight meets following the New Mexico dual. Air Force hosts Colorado Mines, Colorado Mesa and CSU-Pueblo on Friday, Oct. 24, at 5 p.m. and Wyoming on Saturday, Oct. 25, at 1 p.m. in the Cadet Natatorium. Air Force will then host Denver and Grand Canyon on Saturday, Nov. 8, at 1 p.m.
