The 22 stops (all assisted) equaled the Falcons' best single-match blocking performance of the season - tying the mark firs set during Air Force's meeting with the Cowgirls at the Academy earlier this year. Junior Raquel Rosas matched her career best with eight blocks, while senior Hillary Keltner accounted for a career-high five. Junior Taylor Parker and freshman Shelley Spires each added three blocks, while juniors Akokwe Clement (two) and Maggie Sherrill (one) rounded out the squad's blocking totals.
In addition to their defense at the net, Clement paced the Falcons with 15 kills and Keltner earned her 35th career double-double with 41 assists and 12 digs. Sherrill, who was second on the team in kills with nine, was just one point shy of a double-double, as she notched a career-high 11 digs. Fellow junior Rachael Bradley Powers paced the Falcons with 15 defensive stops.
Air Force concludes its home season this Wednesday (Nov. 19), when it hosts Fresno State for the only meeting of the season between the two schools. Prior to the 6:00 p.m. match, the Falcons will honor its four seniors - Emma Dridge, Victoria Foster, Kristen Holt and Keltner.
