USAF ACADEMY, Colo. - Highlighted by top-10 list incursions from junior Danielle Tabb and freshman Mikayla Robertson, members of the Air Force track and field team picked up five first-place finishes during the Rocky Mountain Classic in Laramie, Wyo., on Friday, Feb. 21.

Freshman Darby Maier finished third in the men's event (52'5¼"), while sophomore Katelyn Holland used a throw of 42'4" to take third in the women's field. Senior Becca Bauman rounded out the Falcons' top-three finishers from the field, as she recorded a distance of 50'5½" to take third in the weight throw.
A small handful of sprinters also traveled to War Memorial Fieldhouse to compete in events on the straightaway. Freshman Zach Johnson, sophomore Joey Wilkin and freshman Alexa Chacon led the group with third-place finishes in their respective events. Johnson clocked a time of 6.62 to pace the Falcons to four of top-six finishes in the 55-meter dash, while Wilkin (7.54) and Chacon (8.27) captured third place finishes in their finals of the 55-meter hurdles.
The Falcons return to the Academy next week to host the 2014 Mountain West Indoor Track and Field Championships. The three-day meet, which begins with the heptathlon and pentathlon on Thursday, Feb. 27, runs through Saturday, March 1, at the Cadet Field House Indoor Track.
