
Falcons Tied For Third at UCSB Tourney

The Air Force golf team is in a tie for third place after the first two rounds of the OGIO UC Santa Barbara Intercollegiate in Santa Barbara, Calif. The Falcons shot a four-over par 292 in the first round and a three-over par 291 in the second round for a two-round total of seven-over par 583, even with Long Beach State and four shots behind tournament leader UCSB.
Individually, senior Kyle Westmoreland is tied for eighth with a two-round total of one-over par 145. Westmoreland rallied with three birdies in his final six holes of the first round en route to a one-over par 73, followed by an even-par 72 in the second round. Fellow seniors Jack Howard and Todd Berglund are one shot back at 146 and tied for 14th place. Howard was tied for third after a two-under par 70 in the first round then shot a 76. Berglund, meanwhile, fired an even-par 72 in the second round after a 74 in the morning.
Freshman Sunwoo Choi is tied for 21st at three-over par 147 and senior Philip Colwell is tied for 52nd with a total of 155. Freshman Andy Germann (T, 31st) and junior Blake Edwards (T, 45th) are playing as individuals.
Tuesday's third and final round is scheduled to begin at 8 a.m. (PT).
