Air Force rifle to open season hosting Nebraska

U.S. Air Force Academy, Colo. - The Air Force rifle team will open the new season hosting the Nebraska Cornhuskers on Oct. 4 at Falcon Rifle Range. Head coach Launi Meili and assistant coach Mike Anti are looking forward to having a team at full strength and ready to host matches in the team's new facility.
Senior Meredith Carpenter returns as team captain and is joined by juniors David Higgins, Tyler Rico and Kevyn Stinett. Also returning are sophomores Ryan Jacobs, Mary Simonton and Noah Kwock. The team has two new members, freshmen Allison Juergensin (Walla Walla, Wash.) and Spencer Brandon (Kingsport, Tenn.).
In 2014, the Falcons are hosting Nebraska, Oct. 4, followed by Ohio State on Dec. 4. In 2015, the Falcons will host Alaska, Nevada, TCU and UTEP, the Patriot Rifle Conference Championships and the NCAA Qualifier match against TCU.
