
Air Force Falls Saturday At Boise State

BOISE, Idaho - Air Force women's basketball (1-18, 0-8 Mountain West) dropped a 81-54 contest at Boise State (13-5, 5-2 MW) in Mountain West action Saturday afternoon at Taco Bell Arena. Senior Jimi Blagowsky led the Falcons with 17 points scored.
Boise State shot 52.4 percent from the field and had three players reach double-figures in scoring. Guard Brooke Pahukoa scored 17 points to lead the Broncos. Miquelle Askew scored 12 points and Yaiza Rodriguez added 10.
The Falcons had two players reach double-figures in scoring. Blagowsky led the Falcons in scoring for the third-straight game, hitting three, three-point baskets to go with a game-high five assists. Junior Madeleine Philpot scored 10 points, grabbed five rebounds and had three steals.
Junior Christina Gamble scored a career-high nine points and freshman Cortney Porter scored six points and had four steals for Air Force.
The Falcons struggled on the boards, getting out-rebounded 43-21. Boise State used its height advantage to out-score AFA 48-16 in the paint.
Air Force returns to action Wednesday, Jan. 28, hosting San José State. Tipoff, at Clune Arena, is 7 pm.
