Falcons Split Final Night of WAC Main Event

SEATTLE, Wash. - The Air Force boxing team posted a 2-2 mark during the final night of competition at the WAC Main Event, as seniors Roy Taylor and Brandon Pitts collected victories on Saturday, Jan. 24, at the Washington Athletic Club in Seattle.
Taylor earned a 132-pound victory over Army's Jared Howell, while Pitts decisioned Albert Ta of host Washington at 166 points.
Two other Falcons competed this evening, but dropped their respective decisions. Sophomore Adam Sumait lost a close contest to Navy's Carols Perez in a 122-pound bout, while Yohance Salimu suffered a hard-fought loss to Army's Ryan Gibley.
The Falcons open the 2015 Wing Open Tournament next this Thursday (Jan.29) with first-round bouts..
