Joey Uhle Named Air Force Athlete of the Week

USAF ACADEMY, Colo. - After setting a new Academy record in the pole vault last weekend, senior Joey Uhle was named the Air Force Athlete of the Week on Monday, Jan. 26. It is the third such award for the native of Powell, Ohio.

Uhle cleared a program-best clearance of 18'2½" to finish as the top collegiate vaulter and tie for the best height of the day. Surpassing the bar on his final attempt at that height, Uhle broke the Academy's two-year program standard, moved into second on the Mountain West Conference's all-time list and secured the #4 position in the current national standings.

The Falcons return to action this Saturday (Jan. 31), when they travel to Albuquerque for the 2015 New Mexico Team Invitational.
