This Week...
The Air Force wrestling team returns to dual action this Saturday, Jan. 10, as it heads to the 25th-annual Tracy Borah Duals, hosted by Western State Colorado. The Falcons will take on the host Mountaineers, along with CSU-Pueblo and Cal Baptist. Live scoring of each of Air Force's matches will be available on trackwrestling.com. Live streaming will be available (subscription required) at AmericaSportsOne.com.
Last Time Out...
Air Force placed 29th at the 52nd annual Ken Kraft Midlands Championships, hosted by Northerwestern University in Evanston, Ill.
Air Force had four wrestlers earn two wins each. Junior Scott Reilly (174), freshman Sam Kreimier (157), junior Konner Witt (184) and senior Carter McElhany (141) earned a pair of wins each.
In the National Rankings...
The Falcons have a pair of wrestlers currently ranked by numerous wrestling publications.
Junior Josh Martinez, a two-time NCAA qualifier, is currently ranked seventh by Wrestling Report, eighth by Open Mat, ninth by InterMat and 14th by W.I.N. Magazine at 125 pounds.
Meanwhile, senior Jesse Stafford, is rated 17th in the nation at 165 pounds by Open Mat and 19th by InterMat and W.I.N. Magazine and 21st by Wrestling Report.
