Oct. 11, 2015 FRESNO, Calif. - Air Force women's soccer dropped a 1-0 match at Fresno State (4-8-1, 3-2-1) in Mountain West Conference action Sunday afternoon at the Fresno State Soccer & Lacrosse Field. The Falcon's Mountain West record is now 2-3-1 with an overall record of 4-9-1.
A goal in the 80th minute lifted Fresno State to the win. Maria Gomez scored at the 80:11 mark.
The two teams combined for 35 shots on the day. The Falcons had 13 shots on the day with freshman Kaitlyn Cook and sophomore Angela Karamanos attempting three shots on goal each. Junior Kristina O'Sullivan and senior Ally Swift also had two shot attempts.
Sophomore Alex Kahalley had 10 saves in goal for the Falcons.
The match featured five yellow cards, with two issued to Air Force and three on Fresno State.
Air Force looks to get back on track as it returns to action Friday, Oct. 16, at Utah State.
