Air Force Announces 2015-16 Track and Field Schedule

 USAF ACADEMY, Colo. – The Air Force track and field team's schedule for the upcoming season was recently announced by head coach Ralph Lindeman. The Falcons will host four indoor competitions at the Cadet Field House and one outdoor meet at the Cadet Outdoor Track and Field Complex.

The Falcons open the season in December with the annual Air Force Holiday Open (Dec. 11) and continues their home schedule in the new year with the Air Force All-Comers Meet (Jan. 8), Air Force Invitational (Jan. 21-23) and Air Force Team Challenge (Feb. 5). During the outdoor season, Air Force will host its Twilight Open to conclude the regular season on May 6.
Air Force will also compete at Nebraska's Holiday Inn Invitational (Jan. 15-16) and New Mexico Team Invitational (Jan. 30) during the indoor season, while various members of the team will travel to Arkansas' Tyson Invitational (Feb. 13-14), Washington's Husky Invitational (Feb. 13-14) and Wyoming's Rocky Mountain Classic (Feb. 19).
The 2016 Mountain West Indoor Track and Field Championships will be held Feb. 25-27 in Albuquerque, N.M., while the NCAA Indoor Championships will take place in Birmingham, Ala., on March 11-12.
Air Force opens the outdoor season at Colorado's Jerry Quiller Classic on March 18-19, before heading to California for San Diego State's Aztec Invitational (March 25-26), the Stanford Invitational (April 1-2) and the San Francisco State Distance Carnival (April 1-2). The Falcons will also split for competitions at Arizona State's Sun Angel Classic and the Colorado Invitational on April 8-9, before returning to California for the Mt. SAC Combined Events Meet and Mt. SAC Relays on April 13-15. The Falcons will also split on April 22-23 for Baylor's Michael Johnson Invitational and Colorado State's Jack Christiansen Invitational, before heading to the prestigious Drake Relays (April 28-30).
The MW Outdoor Championships will be held May 11-14 in Fresno, Calif., while the NCAA Outdoor Championships begin with the preliminary rounds in Lawrence, Kan., on May 26-28, and conclude with the finals in Eugene, Ore., on June 8-11.
