
Air Force Drops Saturday Contest at Wyoming

LARAMIE, Wyo. - Air Force women's basketball (2-21, 1-11 Mountain West) dropped a 74-51 contest at Wyoming (10-11, 5-6 MW) in Mountain West action Saturday afternoon at the Arena Auditorium. Freshman Cortney Porter led the Falcons with 14 points.
Five players reached double-figures in scoring for Wyoming, led by Colorado Springs product Kaitlyn Mileto, who scored a game-high 18 points. Jordan Kelly collected a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds. The Cowgirls dominated the boards, holding a 45-25 advantage in rebounds.
Porter hit a pair of three's and also led Air Force with five assists and three steals. Senior Jimi Blagowsky added nine points and senior Lindsey Lewis and junior Christian Gamble scored eight points each. Junior Madeleine Philpot added six points and had three blocked shots, a season-high for AFA.
The Falcons had another slow first-half, trailing 34-16 at the break. The Falcons more than doubled their scoring output in the second half, scoring 35 points.
Air Force returns to action Wednesday, Feb. 11, hosting Boise State. Tipoff, at Clune Arena, is 7 pm.
