Scouting High Point
High Point is 3-5 overall this season and 0-1 in the Southern Conference. Three of the Panthers' five losses have been by one goal, including a 12-11 overtime loss to Mercer in the conference opener. Matt Thistle leads the team with 16 goals and 29 points. Michael LeClair is tied for the team lead in assists with Thistle (13) and is second in points (27).
Inside the Numbers
Freshman Chris Walsch leads the team with 21 goals, eight assists and 29 points this season. Walsch is tied for 25th in the nation in goals per game (2.63), the fourth most by a freshman. He has scored in all eight games.
Senior Keith Dreyer is leads the team with 11 assists and is second on the team with 20 points. He has scored in seven of the last eight games, including a season best four goals and five points vs. VMI, March 8.
Dreyer, Nick Hruby and Christopher Allen are all tied for second on the team with 11 goals. Allen and Hruby are tied for third on the team with 13 points.
Allen leads the team with three man-up goals this season. He has three of the team's eight man-up goals.
Senior Kyle O'Brien leads the team with 21 ground balls. Sophomore Luke Toscano is second with 20.

Between the Pipes
Junior Doug Gouchoe has started all eight games for the Falcons and has a .517 saves percentage with 75 saves this season. He made a then-season high 14 saves, while allowing just six goals, to lead the Falcons to a 13-6 win over Canisius, Feb. 22. He made a season high 15 saves vs. Vermont in the 11-10 triple overtime loss to the Catamounts.
His 75 saves are the 12th most in the nation while his .517 saves percentage is 33rd in the nation.
Last Time vs. High Point
Mike Crampton and Tommy McKee each tallied four goals as Air Force earned a 14-4 road victory over High Point, Feb. 10, 2013, in High Point, North Carolina. Crampton also added an assist to finish with a game-high five points. Keith Dreyer, currently a senior but a sophomore in 2013, had a team-leading three helpers. The Falcons outshot the Panthers, 47-27, for the game, holding a 31-11 advantage on shots taken in the first half alone. Meanwhile, High Point had a slight edge on face-offs, winning 12-of-22 draws, and notched 19 saves, compared to 10 for Air Force. In addition, the Falcons' man-down unit remained perfect on the season, holding the Panthers scoreless on six man-up opportunities.
