
Erik Baskin named AHC Rookie of the Month

U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. - Air Force freshman Erik Baskin was named the Athletic Hockey Conference Rookie of the Month as scored seven points (4-3-7), two power-plays goal, a game-winner and was a +4 in eight games in February.
The winger from Minnetonka, Minn., started out the month with two points in the Sacred Heart series (1-1-2). He helped lead Air Force to a sweep of AIC, Feb.13-14, with five points in the two games. Baskin had career highs of two goals and three points in the first game and then added a goal and an assist in the second game. Overall this season, ranks fourth on the team with 10 goals and is fifth with 16 points.
Air Force is the No. 7 seed in the Atlantic Hockey playoffs and will host No. 10 seed AIC in a best-of-three series at the Academy's Cadet Ice Arena. The teams will play Friday and Saturday, March 6-7, at 7:05 p.m. If a third game is necessary, the teams will play on Sunday, March 8, at 7:05 p.m.
