
Lighting Suspends Air Force-UNLV Baseball Game

LAS VEGAS, Nev. - Air Force baseball's conference game at UNLV was suspended after seven innings of play due to a lighting malfunction Friday night at Earl E. Wilson Stadium. The Falcons trail 6-2. The game will resume at noon Saturday.
Game two of the series will begin 45 minutes after the completion of game one.
The Falcons had five hits so far in the game. Left fielder Tyler Jones had two hits to lead the Falcons. Sophomore Griffin Jax pitched all seven innings for the Falcons, striking out four.
UNLV had 11 hits so far. Leadoff hitter Joey Armstrong had two hits and two runs scored to lead the Rebels. Starting pitcher Kenny Oakley held the Falcons to two runs over six innings.
Air Force scored two runs in the third to take an early lead. A five-run fifth inning put UNLV ahead. The Rebels scored one run in the bottom of the seventh before the lightning delay hit.
