Air Force Men's Soccer Announces 2015 Schedule

USAF ACADEMY, Colo. - Air Force men's soccer released its 2015 schedule, announced today by head coach Doug Hill. The 17-game schedule features six home matches, in addition to three exhibitions.
"We have a good schedule that will prepare us well for conference play," Hill said. "There are teams on the schedule like Cornell and Colgate that we have never played before and will expose our team to new playing sites. We are looking towards becoming very strong for our home schedule and will have to work hard to pick up wins on the road. The challenge will be the amount of road matches we have, but it will prepare us well for late in the season."
The Falcons play three exhibition matches prior to the regular season, beginning Aug. 15 at New Mexico. Air Force also hosts exhibitions against Denver (Aug. 19) and The Colorado School of Mines (Aug. 22).
The regular season starts Aug. 29 with the Falcons hosting Service Academy rival Army West Point.
Air Force then hits the road for its next eight matches, beginning with a weekend tournament Sept. 4-6 in Evansville, Ind., against host Evansville and Drake at the ProRehab Aces Soccer Classic. After a single-game road trip Sept. 11 to Cal Poly, the Falcons travel to New York to take on Colgate (Sept. 18) and Cornell (Sept. 20) at the CU Inaria Classic. The non-conference slate concludes Sept. 27 at Bradley in The Hotels at Grand Prairie Soccer Series.
Air Force opens its 10-game Western Athletic Conference schedule Oct. 2 at Utah Valley. The Falcons also have road matches at Seattle U (Oct. 4), CSU Bakersfield (Oct. 23), San Jose State (Oct. 25) and UMKC (Nov. 7).
After eight straight on the road, the Falcons hosts its first WAC home game against Incarnate Word on Oct. 8. The Falcons also have home conference matches against UTRGV (Oct. 16), Houston Baptist (Oct. 18), Grand Canyon (Oct. 30) and UNLV (Nov. 1).
The top six teams from the 11 member soccer programs go on to the 2015 WAC Soccer Championship. The championships are held Nov. 12-13, 15 in Kansas City, Mo., with UMKC as the host institution.
