Falcons announce fall schedule, freshman class

Air Force Men's Tennis Coach Dan Oosterhous announced the new freshman class and the 2015 fall schedule today. The team opens the season with its annual Blue-Silver scrimmage on Wednesday, Sept. 3, at 3 p.m. on the outdoor tennis courts. The Falcons then host the Fall Invitational on Sept 11-13 at 8 a.m. each day. Included in the tournament is a Reunion/Alumni Day on Saturday, Sept. 12. "Our fall schedule is the most complete we've ever had and will give our guys multiple opportunities to compete," Oosterhous said. "With a very young team, these competitive experiences will be critical to our success in the spring. After a few weeks of Captain's practices in the books, Coach Urbina and I are very impressed with the hard work our team is putting into raising the bar for our program."
The Falcons also welcomed seven new players to the team with its freshman class. The class has four players from Texas and one each from Georgia, North Carolina and Florida. The updated roster is available on the roster tab of the website.
"We are very excited to add these seven new players to our roster. They are from all over the country and will give us added strength and depth to our lineup," Oosterhous said. "It was great to see them excel during a very challenging Basic Cadet Training. They have lots of talent and I'm confident their class will make huge contributions to the Air Force tennis program."
