
Air Force Falls at Portland State In Overtime

HILLSBORO, Ore. - Air Force women's soccer dropped a 1-0 contest on a penalty kick in overtime at Portland State (2-4) Sunday afternoon at Hillsboro Stadium. The Falcons fell to 2-4 on the season.
After playing to a scoreless tie in regulation, the game was decided by a PK in overtime. Cori Bianchini was taken down in the penalty box at the 92:20 mark to force the penalty kick. Bianchini converted the PK to give the Vikings the win.
The Falcons had eight shots on the day, four on goal. Sophomore midfielder Angela Karamanos led Air Force with two shots on goal. Sophomore Alex Kahalley recorded six saves in goal in the loss.
Air Force returns to action Friday, Sept. 18, hosting Baylor.
