The Air Force men's and women's swimming and diving teams host a multi-team meet at the Academy's Cadet Natatorium, Jan. 15-16. The meet on Friday, Jan. 15, begins at 6 p.m. while Saturday's meet begins at 11 a.m. A live stream of the event both days will be available here.
The men's team will compete against Seattle and South Dakota. The women's team will compete against Seattle, South Dakota and Northern Colorado.
The men's team is 9-0 overall this season. Air Force's last dual meet was a win over Wyoming, Nov. 12. Air Force has since placed third in the Art Adamson Invitational and second at the Orange Bowl Classic (Jan. 3). The Falcons hold the top two times in the Western Athletic Conference in the 200 free with Kevin Jackson(1:37.26) ranking first and Jordan Dahle ranking second (137.55). In the 1650 free, Jackson ranks first (15:21.11), Garrett Glaudini ranks second (15:30.22) and Andrew Faciszewski (15:31.34). Senior Michael Barnosky holds the conference's top time in the 100 (52.77) and 200 (1:56.89) breast stroke events.
The women' s team is 8-7 overall this season. The Falcons last competed in the Orange Bowl Classic, placing third on Jan. 3. Several Falcons rank among the top swimmers in the Mountain West Conference. Junior Genevieve Miller holds the top time in the 500 free (4:43.77), the 1000 free (9:56.54) and the 1650 free (16:16.13) and is fourth in the 200 free (1:49.02). Senior Sara Menke ranks seventh in the 500 free (4:52.83), ninth in the 1000 free (10:18.26) and fourth in the 1650 free (16:45.64). Leah Weber ranks sixth in the 200 breast stroke (2:16.73). Maria Schroeder ranks fourth in the conference in the 100 butterfly (54.43). Jenna Tasic ranks seventh in the 200 fly (2:20.47).
