Falcon Wrestling Bests Grand Canyon, 23-9

U.S. Air Force Academy - Air Force wrestling concluded dual action on Sunday afternoon against Grand Canyon University with a 23-9 win over the Lopes. Air Force earned wins in seven of 10 weight classes improving their dual slate record to 5-2.
Freshman Alex Lopouchanski led the team with bonus points coming from an 18-2 technical fall over GCU's Casey Larson in the 165 class. Other Falcons to earn decision wins were Drew Romero, 11-5 decision at 125, John Twomey, 7-2 decision at 133, Jerry McGinty 8-4 decision at 149, Zach Stepan 3-1 decision at 157, Anthony McLaughlin, SV2 4-2 decision at 184 and Parker Hines, 3-1 decision at 197.
Michael Billingsley also earned a 5-3 decision victory in exhibition action in the 165 class prior to the meet.
