Falcon women fall in dual at UNLV

The Air Force men's swimming and diving teams split a pair of duals, Saturday, Jan. 23, in Las Vegas, Nev. The Falcons (14-1 overall this season), defeated UNLV, 181.00-117.00, but fell to Harvard 163.00-132.00. The women's swimming and diving teams (12-8 overall this season) fell to UNLV, 196.00-104.00.
On the women's side, the Falcons went 1-2 in the 1000 free as Genevieve Miller won (10:26.50) and Sara Menke was second (10:48.86). In the very next event, Miller was second in the 200 free (1:52.09). Later in the afternoon, Miller won the 500 free (5:08.74). Maria Schroeder won the 100 fly (56.15) and Jinan Andrews was second in the 100 free (51.33).
On the men's side, Air Force won the first event of the meet as the team of Devon Davis, Michael Barnosky, Kevin Mitchell and Jordan Dahle won the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:28.85. Davis also won the 100 backstroke (49:05) and Dahle won the 100 free (45.30). Barnosky won the 100 breast stroke (55:03) and the 200 breast stroke (2:02.03) and was second in the 200 IM (1:53.84). In the final event, the Falcons took second in the 400 free relay as the team of Steffen Mount, Lars Knutson, Davis and Dahle posted a time of 3:01.65.
