Air Force Hosts UNLV and Nevada
Air Force women's soccer hosts UNLV and Nevada this weekend, Oct. 14-16. The Falcons take on UNLV on Friday, Oct. 14 and Nevada on Sunday, Oct. 16. Live video and stats will be available for both matches.
Last Time Out
Air Force went 0-1-1 last weekend. The Falcons lost 4-2 at Wyoming Friday and played Colorado State to a 1-1 tie on Sunday.
Air Force led 2-0 with goals by Ashley Greco and Bre Robertson early at Wyoming. The Cowgirls responded with four unanswered goals to rally to the win.
On Sunday, Greco scored four minutes into the match for the Falcons. Unfortunately, CSU converted a penalty kick on the 73rd minute and ulitmately sent the game to a 1-1 tie after 110 minutes.
Series History vs. UNLV
- Air Force is 5-16 all-time against UNLV.

Last Year vs. UNLV
Air Force opened Mountain West play with a resounding 2-0 win at UNLV Friday, Sept. 25, 2015, at Johann Memorial Stadium. It was the Falcons' first win over the Rebels since 2001.
The win snapped a string of 14 consecutive losses to UNLV and it was also Air Force's first win at UNLV since 2000.
Senior Ally Swift scored both goals to lift the Falcons to 3-6-0 on the season and 1-0-0 in conference play. Swift scored the first goal in the 28th minute off passes from sophomores Angela Karamanos and Las Vegas native Morgan Mavroudis for the score. The Aledo, Texas, native scored an insurance goal in the 77th minute for her team-leading fifth goal of the season.
Air Force out-shot UNLV 15-13 and also held a 4-3 advantage on corner kicks. Nine players had shot attempts for the Falcons.
Freshman Kaitlyn Cook led the way with three attempts. Freshman Jennifer Hiddink had seven saves in the win in goal.

Last Year vs. Nevada
Air Force rallied to a 2-2 draw at Nevada Sunday Sept. 27, 2015 at Mackay Stadium.
Air Force rallied twice from deficits to pull out the tie. The Falcons got scores from freshman Bre Robertson and sophomore Angela Karamanos.
After playing to a scoreless tie at the half, the offenses got going. Hannah Miller scored for Nevada in the 50th minute for the first score of the match.
The Falcons tied it up at the 69:23 mark on Robertson's successful penalty kick conversion.
Nevada re-took the lead on Lindsey Salcido's goal at the 78:47 mark on a rebound off an initial save.
Air Force was again able to rally as Karamanos scored the equalizer at the 85:26 mark. Karamanos scored off a header on a corner kick by sophomore Brooke Rittmann.
The teams were even in shots attempted with 15 each. Air Force held a 6-2 advantage in corner kicks. Nevada drew three yellow cards, to one for the Falcons.
Sophomore Alex Kahalley had eight saves in goal for the Falcons.

Air Force hosts San José State and Fresno State next weekend. The Falcons host San José State on Friday, Oct. 21 and Fresno State on Sunday, Oct. 23.
