Former Falcon lacrosse star 1st Lt. Tommy McKee has been selected to the National Lacrosse League's Vancouver Stealth training camp. McKee, a 2014 graduate of the Air Force Academy, competed against over 35 free agents to earn a spot in the camp. McKee is currently on active duty stationed at McConnell AFB, Kan.
A forward from Holt, Michigan, McKee is one of 40 players fighting for one of roughly 20 positions on the Stealth roster. The three-week camp well help the Vancouver coaching staff determine which players will fill the roster for the regular season.
McKee helped lead the Falcons to the 2014 ECAC championship title, which prior to the 2015 season, was the Falcons' most successful season in program history. En route to their conference title, the Falcons knocked off No. 11/14 Fairfield twice. The record-breaking season also marked the Falcons' first win in the NCAA tournament, defeating Richmond, 13-5, in the play-in game.
McKee is second in the Falcon all-time record books with 97 career goals. He is third in program history in goals per game, averaging 1.76 in 55 games played and he has the fourth most career points in program history with 121.
