Air Force has great second day at Navy Invitational

Air Force had a great second day at the Navy Invitational Saturday in Annapolis, Md. The Falcons posted a 5-3 mark in singles play and were 2-2 overall in doubles.
Senior Lucas Fumagalli remained undefeated in the tournament, posting a 2-0 record Saturday to improve to 4-0 overall. He is 2-0 in singles and 2-0 in doubles. Fumagalli defeated Krishna Jana of Navy, 6-2, 6-2 in singles while combining with junior Max Olson for an 8-5 win in doubles over Ray and Nielsen of George Mason. Olson went 2-0 on the day, as he beat Jakob Nielsen of GM, 6-3, 7-5 in singles.
Freshman David Mottice also remained perfect in the event, posting a 2-0 mark Saturday to improve to 4-0 in the event. Mottice beat Isiah Volk of GM, 6-4, 6-4. He teamed with Isaac Perez to beat Martin and Pecor of Navy, 8-5, in doubles.
Play concludes Sunday at the Brigade Sports Complex with the final round-robin pairings.
