Air Force Falls at Oregon State

Corvallis, Oregon - Air Force wrestling dropped a 36-0 dual to Oregon State, Sunday, Feb. 14, in Corvallis, Oregon. Falcon wrestling's record drops to 7-6, 1-3 Big 12 while Oregon State improves to 10-6, 2-2 Pac 12.
Dual action started in the 197 class with No. 17 Parker Hines of Air Force taking on Cody Crawford of Oregon State. Hines found a late rhythm making two takedowns in the final minute but dropped the 8-5 decision to the Beaver wrestler.
Oregon State followed up with two wins from their nationally ranked wrestlers. Marcus Maelcek (285) dropped an 18-6 major decision to No. 10 Amarveer Dhesi, while Issac Jimenez dropped a 4-1 decision to No. 7 Ronnie Bresser.
Oregon State earned major decision bonus points in the 133 and 184 classes and took decision wins in the 141, 149, and 157 classes. The Beavers finished the night with a fall from Seth Thomas in the 165 class to finalize the sweep at 36-0.
Air Force returns to action against Big 12 Conference opponent Northern Colorado on Wednesday, Feb. 17, at 7:00 p.m. MT, in Greely, Colo.
