More records fall at MW Championships

COLLEGE STATION, Texas -- More school records fell for the Falcons on the third day of the Mountain West Women's Swimming and Diving Championships, Friday, Feb. 19, in College Station, Texas.
Sophomore Elise Hart got the day off to a good start for the Falcons, breaking the school record in the prelims of the 100 fly with an NCAA "B" cut time of 53.30. In the finals of the 100 fly, Hart placed second with a time of 53.59. Sophomore Maria Schroeder posted the second fastest time in school history and won the "C" final with an NCAA "B" cut time of 54.33.
Junior Genevieve Miller continues to re-write the record book as she broke the Academy mark in the in the prelims of the 200 free with a time of 1:47.64. In the finals, she placed sixth with an NCAA "B" cut time of 1:47.58, and broke her own school record.
In the team standings, Boise State is in first place with 430.5 points, Nevada is second (419), San Diego State is third (366), Wyoming is fourth (309), UNLV is fifth (259), San Jose State is sixth (197), Colorado State is seventh (168), New Mexico is eighth (158.5), Air Force is ninth (142) and Fresno State is 10th (127).
