Air Force falls to Army in men's tennis

Army West Point defeated Air Force, 4-2, Sunday morning in a non-conference men's tennis match in Orlando, Fla. The Falcons finished a two-match road trip in the Sunshine state with a 0-2 record.
Army won the doubles point behind wins at No. 2 and 3. The Black Knights won three of the five singles matches that were completed to post the win. Air Force's wins came at No. 1 with Jack McCullers beating Sam Lampman, 6-2, 6-3. Issac Perez also beat Harrison McCormick, 6-3, 6-4, at No. 5 singles. Max Olson was leading Kyle Barnes at No. 4 singles, 7-6 (7), 4-6 when the match was called.
"I give a lot of credit to Army, they played a great match," Air Force head coach Dan Oosterhous said. "Our team is fighting for every point and I'm proud of how we competed today. We have a lot to play for with our upcoming schedule and I know our team can turn things around."
The loss drops Air Force 4-11 overall.
