Jax Named MW Baseball Pitcher of the Week

Air Force junior righthander Griffin Jax earned Mountain West Baseball Pitcher of the Week honors for games played March 21-27. It was the junior's second weekly conference honor this season and his fourth overall.

Jax pitched Air Force to a 5-2 win over UC Davis last Saturday. The Greenwood Village native pitched a complete game, allowing two unearned runs and improving to 5-1 on the season. He also struck out a career-high 12 batters. Jax has not allowed an earned run over his last three starts, a span of 21 innings.

Joining Jax for weekly honors was Jake Stone of Fresno State, who earned MW Player of the Week.
