Air Force (8-2 overall, 2-0 SoCon) takes on the Bellarmine Knights (4-5 overall, 2-0 SoCon) in Southern Conference action, Saturday, April 2, at 12:00 p.m. ET in Louisville, Ky.
National Polls...
The Falcons climbed to No. 14 in the Cascade/Maverik Media Polls over the week with wins over No. 11 Duke and Detroit Mercy. The media polls ranking ties the Falcons' highest ranking in program history; Air Force held the 14th position in the 2004 season. Air Force broke into the USILA/NIKE Division I Men's Lacrosse Coaches Poll at No. 17 on March 28. The Falcons first broke into the Cascade/Maverik poll on March 21.

The Streak...
Air Force has won eight straight games and has improved to 8-2 overall this season. The streak marks the longest win streak in school history against Division I teams. A four-overtime win at Marist initated the Falcon win streak. Six of the eight wins have been by three goals or less, six of the wins have come on the road and two of the wins are in conference matchups.
Series vs. Bellarmine
Air Force and Bellarmine will meet for the 11th time in program history and for the first time as SoCon adversaries. Air Force leads the series, 7-3. The Falcons won, 9-7, the first time the teams met in 2006, at Falcon Stadium. The last meeting between the teams was in April of 2015 at USAFA, the Falcons topped the Knights, 11-8. The Falcons have bested the Knights by five goals or more on the three occasions.
Scouting the Knights...
Bellarmine is 4-5 overall and 2-0 in the SoCon on the season. The Knights' matchup with Air Force will mark the second ranked opponent that Bellarmine has played this season. The Knights dropped an 11-6 loss against then-No. 1 Notre Dame, April 24, in South Bend, Ind.
The Knights are perfect in SoCon action, with wins over Mercer and Jacksonville. Bellarmine and Air Force are tied for second in the SoCon; trailing Richmond who is 3-0 in conference play.
Bellarmine leads the SoCon in face-off winning percentage, winning 57.1 of their face-offs. Sophomore Connor Harryman leads the SoCon in face-off win percentage with a 60.5 win percentage; a mark good enough for 15th in the nation. Harryman is also second in the conference for ground balls per game with an average of 5.0 per game.
SoCon Players of the Week...
Air Force's Chris Walsch and Doug Gouchoe have been named Southern Conference Men's Lacrosse Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week, respectively, for competition held March 22-28, the league office announced Tuesday. This marks the Falcons' third sweep of the conference's weekly lacrosse awards.

Air Force extended its winning streak to eight games as the 20th-ranked Falcons defeated Detroit Mercy, 7-5, in a non-conference lacrosse game Saturday, March 26, in Detroit, Mich. Air Force improved to 8-2 overall this season while Detroit fell to 1-6.
