Falcons close out home schedule with pair of weekend matches

This week: Air Force hosts Mountain West foes Fresno State and Nevada in the final home matches of the season. The Falcons play Fresno State on Friday, April 15, at 4 p.m. and Nevada Sunday, April 17, at Noon.
Friday, April 15, vs. Fresno State, 4 p.m. (Free pizza and drinks for fans)
Sunday, April 17, vs. Nevada, Noon (Senior Day, free clinic at 9:30 a.m.)
The Air Force men's tennis will host a free tennis clinic with instruction, competitions and prizes led by AFA tennis coaches and players. The clinic is open to all cadets and anyone 18 years or older. Fans can sign-up to learn doubles skills from the AFA tennis coaches and compete against their friends to win some AF Tennis gear. There will be free pizza after the clinic and fans are invited to stay and support the team and seniors Jack McCullers and Andrew Parks as they compete in their final home match.
Last week: Air Force had its two-match road swing at UNLV and San Diego State rescheduled due to weather. The Falcons were scheduled to play at UNLV on Friday, April 8, and at San Diego State on Sunday, April 10. The matches have been moved to April 22 and 24 in Las Vegas. The Falcons will play San Diego State April 22 at 3 p.m. and UNLV on April 24 at Noon.
Most recent action: Air Force last played during a three-match home stand on April 1 and 3. Air Force fell to Boise State, 6-1, on April 1 and to Utah State, 6-1, on April 3. The Falcons closed the weekend with a 7-0 victory over CSU-Pueblo April 3.
Head Coach Dan Oosterhous: Dan Oosterhous is in his seventh season as the men's tennis coach at the Air Force Academy after being named the program's 12th head coach October 1, 2009. Oosterhous, a 1993 graduate of the Academy, replaced legendary head coach Rich Gugat, who retired after 36 years at the helm of the men's tennis program. Oosterhous, one of the best tennis players in program history, has a 69-91 career record. A native of Texarkana, Texas, He is a senior pilot with over 3,100 hours in the C-5, C-21, T-38, and T-37. He has three children, Emma (18), Anna (16) and Andrew (14).
