This Week...
The Air Force men's soccer team is slated to compete in the TLC Plumbing and Utility Invitational this weekend, Sep. 2-4, at the UNM Soccer Complex, Albuquerque, N.M. The Falcons will kick off against Cal Poly, Friday, Sept. 2, at 4:00 p.m., then against Cal State Northridge, Sunday, Sep. 4, at 2:00 p.m.
Last Time They Met...
The Falcons last met with Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo in the 2015 season. Then-sophomore John Wendt logged four saves of five shots faced in the 0-1 loss to the Mustangs.
Air Force tallied a win in the last meeting against then-No. 24 Cal State Northridge in 2014 at Cadet Soccer Stadium. At the final whistle the Falcons led, 2-1. Abinadi Samayoa and Cameron Duley tallied an assist apiece in the victory.
The Series...
In the all-time series against the two teams, Air Force is 1-3-1 against Cal Poly and 2-3 against the Matadors of CSUN.
In their first matchup with Cal Poly in 1999 in San Luis Obispo, the teams retired from the pitch tied at two. The Falcons are 0-2-1 while playing at Cal Poly.
In 1993, Air Force dropped their first matchup with CSUN on the road, 0-1, in overtime. Of the five matches played, four have been at CSUN. The Falcons are 1-3 against the Matadors on the road.

The Falcons will open up their home slate with a "Pack the House" event against Bryant, Fri., Sept. 9, at 7 p.m., at Cadet Soccer Stadium, USAFA. On Sunday, Sept. 11, Air Force will continue action on the home pitch against UC Riverside at 1 p.m. There is free admission to all home matches.
