
Swimmers earn Scholar All-America honors

U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. – The Air Force women’s swimming and diving team was honored by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) as a Scholar All-America Team. The team posted a 3.01 team GPA in the fall of 2016.
Founded in 1922, the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) – the oldest organization of college coaches in America -is a professional organization of college swimming and diving coaches dedicated to serving and providing leadership for the advancement of the sport of swimming & diving at the collegiate level.
In the fall of 2016, the Falcons placed 11 members of the team on the Academy’s Dean’st List (academic excellence), eight on the Commandant’s List (military excellence) and four on the Superintendent’s List for excellence in academics, military and physical fitness.
In the pool, the Falcons are 7-5 overall in dual meets this season. The swimming team competes in a dual against the University of Denver, Saturday, Jan. 28, at 6:30 pm MT. The diving team hosts the annual Air Force Invitational Friday-Saturday, Jan. 27-28, at the Cadet Natatorium. Both teams are preparing for the Mountain West Championships, Feb. 15-18, in College Station, Texas.
