Falcons in 16th after first day in Maui

U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. -- The Air Force golf team is tied for 16th place after the first day of the Ka'anapali Collegiate Classic, Friday, Nov. 3, in Lahaina, Maui.
The Falcons shot a three-over par 287 and are tied with Gonzaga, Loyola Marymount, Sacramento State and Ball State. Cal leads the20-team field with an 18-under 266, while LSU and South Carolina are tied for second at 16-under 268.
Junior Tate Tatom is the top Falcon, tied for 45th with a one-under 70. Sophomore Joseph Crisostomo is tied for 54th after an even-par 71. Juniors Andy Germann and Bryant Falconello each shot an opening round two-over 73.
The tournament continues with the second round on Saturday, Nov. 4, with a shotgun start at 8:15 am HT at the Ka'anapali Golf Course.
