Air Force hosts four matches this weekend

This week: Air Force hosts four matches this weekend. The Falcons play Metro State (10 a.m.) and Denver (5 p.m.) on Friday, Feb. 24. The team then hosts Northern Arizona (Noon) and Seattle (5 p.m.) on Saturday, Feb. 25.
Home stand: Air Force plays 10 of its first 12 matches this spring at home. Following this weekend's matches, the team plays on the road for eight straight matches.
Last week: Air Force dropped a pair of matches in East Lansing, Mich. The Falcons lost, 6-1, at Michigan State Feb. 17 and 4-1 to Army Feb. 19.
Galvin undefeated: Freshman Mack Galvin is undefeated in singles this spring. Galvin has an 8-0 dual mark this spring. He leads the Falcons with an 18-6 overall singles mark for the entire season.
Head Coach Dan Oosterhous: Dan Oosterhous is in his eighth season as the men's tennis coach at the Air Force Academy after being named the program's 12th head coach October 1, 2009. Oosterhous, a 1993 graduate of the Academy, replaced legendary head coach Rich Gugat, who retired after 36 years at the helm of the men's tennis program. Oosterhous, one of the best tennis players in program history, has a 74-99 career record. A native of Texarkana, Texas, He is a senior pilot with over 3,100 hours in the C-5, C-21, T-38, and T-37. He has three children, Emma (19), Anna (17) and Andrew (15).
