Air Force downs Eastern Washington in dramatic fashion

Air Force defeated Eastern Washington, 4-3, Saturday afternoon in a non-conference men's tennis match at the Eastern Washington Indoor Tennis Courts in Spokane, Wash. The victory gives the Falcons a split on a weekend series in Washington, as the team lost to Gonzaga yesterday.
Air Force opened the match by winning the doubles point behind wins at No. 1 and 2. Isaac Perez and Tadhg Collins were 6-3 winners at the top spot while Luke Sanderson and Max Olson won 7-5 at No. 2. Perez won his singles match at No. 4 over Almeida, 6-1, 6-2 and Fumagalli won a three-set match at No. 2 over Paz, 6-4, 4-6, 6-4. Eastern Washington picked up wins at No. 2, 3 and 6 singles to even the match at 2-all.
EWU moved in front with a three-set win at No. 1 before Air Force freshman Mack Galvin clinched it for the Falcons with a 7-5, 2-6, 6-4 win at No. 5. He trailed 4-1 in the third set before rallying to win it.
The win improved the Falcons to 6-8 overall this season.
