This week: Air Force plays a pair of matches in Arlington, Texas. Air Force Texas-Arlington Friday, March 17, at 3 p.m. The Falcons then play service academy rival Navy on Saturday, March 18, at Noon in Arlington.
On the road: Air Force is in a stretch that has the team playing eight consecutive matches away from home from Friday, March 10, to Sunday, April 9.
Last week: Air Force went 1-1 on a two-match road swing to Washington. The Falcons lost, 6-1, at Gonzaga and beat Eastern Washington, 4-3.
Freshman Mack Galvin leads the way: Freshman Mack Galvin leads the Falcons with a 23-7 overall record in singles. Galvin is 13-1 this spring in duals. He is 3-1 at No. 4, 3-0 at No. 5 and a perfect 7-0 at No. 6.
Isaac Perez leads way in doubles: Sophomore Isaac Perez leads the Falcons in doubles with a 16-11 overall record. He is 7-6 this spring in dual matches. Perez is 2-1 at No. 1 and 2 doubles and 3-4 at No. 3
Head Coach Dan Oosterhous: Dan Oosterhous is in his eighth season as the men's tennis coach at the Air Force Academy after being named the program's 12th head coach October 1, 2009. Oosterhous, a 1993 graduate of the Academy, replaced legendary head coach Rich Gugat, who retired after 36 years at the helm of the men's tennis program. Oosterhous, one of the best tennis players in program history, has a 77-102 career record. A native of Texarkana, Texas, He is a senior pilot with over 3,100 hours in the C-5, C-21, T-38, and T-37. He has three children, Emma (19), Anna (17) and Andrew (15).
