Fumagalli earns ITA/Arthur Ashe Leadership and Sportsmanship Award

Air Force senior Lucas Fumagalli earned the ITA/Arthur Ashe Leadership and Sportsmanship Award for the Mountain Region.
Fumagalli is a two-time College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-American and has a 3.85 grade point average majoring in mechanical engineering. Fumagalli will be headed to Euro-Nato pilot training following graduation.
Fumagalli posted 18 singles wins this season which ranked second on the team. He had 15 doubles wins this season which also ranked second on the team.
Air Force finished the season with an 8-17 overall record. The Falcons finished seventh in the Mountain West with a 1-6 mark. Air Force was 6-8 at home this season, but posted one of its biggest wins on the road. Air Force won at Boise State, 4-2, to record its first win over the Broncos in the Mountain West era.
