Falcons 2016-17 season wrap

This week: Air Force finished the season with an 8-17 overall record. The Falcons finished seventh in the Mountain West with a 1-6 mark. Air Force was 6-8 at home this season, but posted one of its biggest wins on the road. Air Force won at Boise State, 4-2, April 9 to post its first win over the Broncos in the Mountain West era.
Freshman Mack Galvin leads the way: Freshman Mack Galvin led the Falcons with a 26-14 overall record in singles. Galvin posted a 16-8 mark this spring in duals.
Team captain Lucas Fumagalli: Senior Lucas Fumagalli was the team captain. He is a two-time third-team CoSIDA Academic All-American. He has a 3.85 GPA in mechanical engineering.
Head Coach Dan Oosterhous: Dan Oosterhous is in his eighth season as the men's tennis coach at the Air Force Academy after being named the program's 12th head coach October 1, 2009. Oosterhous, a 1993 graduate of the Academy, replaced legendary head coach Rich Gugat, who retired after 36 years at the helm of the men's tennis program. Oosterhous, one of the best tennis players in program history, has a 79-111 career record. A native of Texarkana, Texas, He is a senior pilot with over 3,100 hours in the C-5, C-21, T-38, and T-37. He has three children, Emma (19), Anna (17) and Andrew (15).
