Air Force Sweeps Opening Night of WAC Main Event

SEATTLE, Wash. – The Air Force boxing team posted a perfect 5-0 record at the Washington Athletic Club's Main Event, which was held last night (Jan. 26) in Seattle. The night, which included a pair of victories over service academy rival Navy, was capped by Devon Smith winning the meet's Boxer of the Night award.
Smith earned a 156-pound victory over Navy's Princeton Luong, en route to the top boxer award. The sophomore was one of two Falcons to defeat the Midshipmen, as Cenada Clifton-Smith decisioned Alex Olajide at 175 pounds.
RJ Leon captured a 119-pound decision of Utah's Jino Guevara, while Josh Turner decisioned Cincinnati's Jacob Maslyk in a 139-pound bout and Levi Knox took a 165-pound victory over Oregon State's Mike Chasco.
