Women's Swimming & Diving Heads to Texas for Split Weekend

HOUSTON, Texas – The Air Force Academy women's swimming and diving team continues its 2018-19 regular season when it heads to Texas for the Rice Invitational, hosted by Rice University, Friday-Saturday, Oct. 12-13. The diving team will also be competing at the same time, but at the Houston Diving Invitational at UH's Campus Recreation & Wellness Center, as Rice does not compete in diving.

The action at Rice's Competition Pool will begin at 3 p.m. MT on Friday and resumes at 9 a.m. MT on Saturday. The two-day meet will have 18 events divided into three sessions, and will pit the Blue and Silver against the host Owls, as well as fellow Texas schools Houston and Incarnate Word.

Scoring will be invitational format, with a cumulative team score tallied up after Session III. A full schedule of events is listed below.

The Falcons are coming off a fifth place finish at the Fresno State Chick-fil-a Invite in the season opening event last weekend, Oct. 5-6. This weekend marks the first of two trips for the Falcons to the Lone Star State, as they will return to Houston, Nov. 16-18, for UH's Phill Hansel Invitational.
