Air Force falls to 2-3 in WWPA action
DAVIS, Calif. – Ninth-ranked UC Davis scored the first four goals of the game and then held off Air Force for a 14-8 win in a Western Water Polo Association game, Friday, Oct. 19, in Davis, Calif.
Trailing 4-0, the Falcons scored two goals in the second quarter as Campbell Harris and Edward Smet found the back of the net. UCD led 6-2 at the half and then each team scored four goals in the third quarter. Henry Yavitt, Reagan Pittman and Edward Smet scored early in the third quarter to cut the deficit to 6-5. The Aggies scored the next three for a 9-5 lead late in the third. Justin Harrison scored two late goals and Yavitt added one to make up the final margin.
Air Force (6-12 overall and 2-3 WWPA) competes in the Julian Fraser Memorial Tournament, Sunday, Oct. 21, in Santa Clara, Calif.
