(Nov. 18, 2017) Boise State defeated Air Force, 44-19 at home to snap a three-game losing streak to the Falcons. The Broncos took advantage of three Air Force turnovers in the first half, turning them into 17 points to take a 27-10 halftime lead. The Broncos added 10 unanswered points in the third quarter to extend the lead to 37-10. Air Force added a touchdown and field goal while Boise State added a late touchdown in the fourth quarter to make up the final margin. The Broncos had 428 total yards, including 338 passing. Brett Rypien hit 16 of 22 passes for 300 yards and three touchdowns to lead Boise State. Air Force had 296 total yards. Nate Romine led the Falcons with 54 yards rushing and a TD while hitting 7-10 passes for 115 yards before leaving with an injury. Air Force played without starting quarterback Arion Worthman, who was out due to injury.
LAST TIME AT FALCON STADIUM

Luke Strebel added a field goal and Tyler Weaver returned a blocked punt 11 yards for a touchdown to give Air Force a 17-7 lead. The Broncos added a field goal to cut the lead to 17-10 at the half. Air Force added a Shayne Davern TD run to push the lead to 24-10. The teams exchanged field goals and the Broncos added a long touchdown pass to cut the lead to 27-20 midway through the fourth quarter. Boise State drove the ball inside the Air Force five in the final minute, but a goal-line stand by the defense secured the win for Air Force. On the final play, a fourth-and-goal at the one, Brodie Hicks stripped quarterback Brett Rypien and Haji Dunn, Jr., recovered to ice the win. Air Force finished with 359 total yards, including 314 rushing. The Falcons held the ball for 41:27 and converted on eight of 18 third downs. Sanders rushed for a season-high 173 yards and three touchdowns while hitting nine of 11 passes for a career-best 217 yards and a score. Sanders scored his third rushing touchdown to open the third quarter and give the Falcons the lead for good, 27-21. He then connecting on a career-long 69 yard touchdown pass to Ronald Cleveland to make it 34-21. Cole Fagan added a career-long 49 yard run for a touchdown to put Air Force in front, 41-21, with 5:45 left in the third. Sophomore Jordan Jackson tipped a pass attempt on fourth down with UNLV deep in Air Force territory with 1:44 remaining. The offense ran out the clock from that point to secure the win. Air Force had a season bests of 572 total yards, 355 rushing yards and 217 yards passing. Fagan added 77 yards rushing while Cleveland chipped in with three catches for a career-best 100 yards. The defense was led by Jeremy Fejedelem, who had 13 tackles and an interception. Kyle Johnson added a career-best 12 tackles and Brody Bagnall had 10 with a career-best 2.5 tackles for loss.
