Levi Knox earned the team's Boxer of the Week award after winning a 170-pound bout.
NEW YORK, N.Y. – A 170-pound victory by senior Levi Knox highlighted the Air Force boxing team's final contest of the fall semester last night (Nov. 19) in New York City. Knox, one of two Falcons to compete at the annual Arthur Mercante Invitational at the NYAC City House, also earned the team's weekly Boxer of the Week award.
The senior earned a victory over AJ Farrow-Maynie in the event's penultimate bout – a win that marked Knox's second victory of the season over his counterpart from Army West Point.
Junior Devon Smith also competed at the annual National Collegiate Boxing Association (NCBA) event, but dropped a 145-pound bout to Canar Morrison of Shippensburg.
The Falcons return to action on Jan. 18, when they host another round of Friday Night Fights.
