Senior goalie helped lead Air Force to sweep at Army, Nov. 2-3
U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. – Air Force senior Billy Christopoulos was named the Travel Team USA Atlantic Hockey Conference Goalie of the Week in leading the Falcons to a sweep at Army West Point, Nov. 2-3.
Christopoulos, from Raleigh, N.C., stopped 47 of the 51 shots he faced in the series to lead the Falcons to their first sweep at West Point since 2014. His 2.00 GAA in the series was the best among all AHC goalies who started more than one game last weekend. A member of the Mike Richter Award Watch List, Christopoulos posted a .922 saves percentage against the Black Knights.
Air Force (4-4-0, 4-2-0 AHC) hosts Bentley, Friday-Saturday, Nov. 9-10, at the Cadet Ice Arena. Friday's game starts at 7:05 pm while Saturday's faceoff is at 7:35 pm.
