HOW IT WORKS

The top two teams from each of the nine regional sites – West, Mountain, Midwest, South Central, Great Lakes, South, Southeast, Mid-Atlantic, Northeast – as well as the top four individuals not on an advancing team, will receive an automatic berth into the national meet. The remainder of the teams and individuals are chosen on an at-large basis.
LAST YEAR AT THE MOUNTAIN REGIONAL
With all five scoring runners finishing within the top 40, the men finished fifth at the 2017 NCAA Mountain Regional, en route to an at-large selection to the national meet, while the women placed three runners in the top 30 to finish sixth in the team standings. Five Falcons captured all-region honors, while Jaci Smith earned an individual at-large selection into the women's championship meet.
MEN CLIMB TO NO. 13 IN USTFCCCA NATIONAL RANKINGS
After finishing second at the Mountain West Championships and bettering two nationally-ranked teams, the men moved up three spots in the national rankings, as it improved to No. 13 in the Oct. 30 edition of the USTFCCCA coaches' poll.
WOMEN CONTINUE TO RECEIVE VOTES IN WEEKLY POLL
For the second time in as many polling cycles, the women received mention in the national USTFCCCA rankings on Oct. 30. After finishing third at the conference meet – and trailing only a pair of top-three teams – the women are fifth in the "Also Receiving Votes" category – and just six points out of the top 30.
