The Falcons will take on host San Diego State and Cal Poly
SAN DIEGO, Calif. – The Air Force Academy women's swimming and diving team is in the Sunshine State for its winter break training trip, and while they are there they will take on Mountain West foe San Diego State Wednesday morning, Dec. 19, at the Aztec Aquaplex. The two MW squads will also face Cal Poly in a tri meet event. Action against the Aztecs and Mustangs will begin at 11 a.m. MT.
In addition to the trio of women's teams competing, both Air Force and Cal Poly men's teams will also be in competition.
The Falcons enter the week with a 5-4 dual record, including 0-2 in the MW. Air Force has had six individual top-10 program history times this season. Leading the charge is freshman Caroline Wittich, who has the program's top times in both the 100 and 200 breaststroke, both of which are top-five in Academy history.
This meet marks AF's final event of the calendar year, as they will return to action Friday-Saturday, Jan. 11-12, when they take on Seattle University in Federal Way, Wash.
