Falcons place 12th at Wyoming Cowboy Classic

CHANDLER, Ariz. - The Air Force golf team finished in 12th place at the Wyoming Cowboy Classic, Tuesday, April 10, at the Whirlwind Golf Club in Chandler, Ariz. Air Force's three-round total of 876 was 12-over par. UTSA won the tournament with a 22-under, 842. Sam Houston State was second and Wyoming, the host school, was third.
In the final round, Air Force shot a one-over par 289, its best round of the tournament.
Sophomore Anson Kuznik was the top Falcon, tying for 34th with a two-over 218. After an opening round 77, he played the final 36 holes in three-under par with a 70 in round two and a 71 in the final round. Junior Bryant Falconello tied for 40th with a three-over 219. His 68 in round one tied his season best. Senior Dane Hankamer, competing as an individual, tied for 54th with a five-over 221.
Air Force returns to action Friday-Sunday, April 13-15, at the Macero Classic in Davis, Calif.
